Biography: Son of William Watt; born Aberdeen, 25 August 1877. M.A. (II Ment), 1898. Commissioned, 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders, 1901 (later, 4th Gordon Highlanders (T.F.)). Mobilized Captain, 5 August 1914; attached to 1/4th, 2/4th (Commanding Officer, with rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel, 4th Reserve), Gordon Highlanders. Served -Home, 1914-18; France, August 1918-April 1919. Final rank, Major. T.D. Mentioned in despatches, ""Gazette,"" 24 February 1917.
