Biography: Son of J. Forbes Lumsden; born Aberdeen, 21 December 1884. Law, 1907-10. Commissioned, 3rd (attached to 1st), The Royal Scots, January 1915 ; transferred to R.A.F. Served-France, 6 months; Salonika 2½ years; Egypt 6 months. Final rank, Captain. Military Cross, 1917. Mentioned in despatches, 1916.
