Biography: Son of William Lumsden ; born Peterhead, 21 June 1894. M.B., 1917. James Anderson Gold Medal and Prize. A.U.O.T.C. Lieutenant, Royal Army Medical Corps (S.R.), 23 April 1917. Served-German, Portuguese, East Africa; Nyasaland, 1917-19. Final rank, Captain. Mentioned in despatches, January 1919.
