Biography: Son of Alexander Ledingham; born Aberdeen, 27 February 1893. M.A., 1913; LL.B., 1920. Joined 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1910; commissioned, 1st Highland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial), 1912. Mobilized, 4 August 1914. Served-Home, 1914-15 ; France, May 1915-March 1918; wounded; Home, 1918-19. Final rank, Captain. Mentioned in despatches, 7 April 1918.
