Biography: Son of J. C. Lawson; born Rathen, Aberdeenshire, 7 February 1895. Arts, 1913-14. Joined U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1914; commissioned, 18 April 1915 ; served with, 4th Cameronians, Royal Flying Corps, Royal Naval Air Service. Home service, 4 years 3 months. Final rank, Captain.
