Biography: Son of William Prain; born Montrose, 12 April 1892. Science, 1911-14. Joined U Company, Gordon Highlanders (Territorial Force), 1911. Served with, 2nd Battalion Honourable Artillery Company, 4th Coldstream Guards. Served - France. Final rank, Acting Schoolmaster.
