Pirie, William Rattray
Biography: Son of Johnston K. Pirie; born Aberdeen, 15 August 1868. M.A., 1888; M.B. (Hon. dist.), 1892. Joined Royal Army Medical Corps, 1908. Mobilized as Major, R.A.M.C. a la suite, August 1914. Attached to 1st Scottish General Hospital, 1914-16; seconded for duty, Military Recruiting Board, 1916- . Final rank, Major. O.B.E. Thanked by Secretary of State for War for special services, March 1917.
