Biography: Son of William R. Pirie; born Keith, 20 June 1888. M.B., 1913. Commissioned, Royal Army Medical Corps, 22 December 1914. Served-Home, 1914-15; Gallipoli, March-September 1915; France, Flanders, December 1915-October 1919. Final rank, Major. Mentioned in despatches, July 1919.
