Biography: Son of Arthur Pirie; born Mintlaw, 15 November 1882. M.B., 1908. Lieutenant, Royal Army Medical Corps, July 1916; attached to R.A.F. Medical Service. Served-France, August 1916-September 1917; Home, 1917-19. Final rank, Captain.
