Biography: Son of John Peterkin; born Fordyce, 31 January 1897. B.Com., 1920. Private, 6th Gordon Highlanders, 27 September 1914; commissioned, 7th Gordon Highlanders, 26 June 1917; attached to 4th Devonshire Regiment, British Military Mission, Constantinople. Served-Home, 1914-18; Mesopotamia, Constantinople, January 1918-August 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant.
