Biography: Son of John Peterkin; born Portsoy, 3 March 1895. Arts, 1913-14. Private, U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1913. Mobilized, 4th August 1914; commissioned, D Company, 15th Battalion Machine Gun Corps, 25 October 1916. Served-Home, 1914-15, 1916-17; France, February 1915-August 1916, June 1917-February 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant. Military Cross, March 1918.
