Biography: Son of John Peterkin; born Portsoy, 27 September 1885. M.A. (I Class), 1908. Joined U Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1911. Mobilized as Private, 6th Gordon Highlanders. Served with 5th Cameron Highlanders, 4th Gordon Highlanders. Commissioned, 15 December 1915. Home, 1½ years; France, Belgium, 2½ years. Final rank, Acting Captain.
