Biography: Son of James N. Paterson; born Glenmuick, Aberdeenshire, 5 October 1870. M.B., 1892. Lieutenant, Royal Army Medical Corps (Territorial Force), 29 November 1914; attached to 1st (Reserve) East Anglian Field Ambulance; 1st Eastern General Hospital Cambridge; 6th General Hospital, France; No. 9 Company, Royal Army Medical Corps, Colchester. Served - Home, 1914-18, 1918-19; France, October-December 1918. Final rank, Acting Major.
