Biography: Son of Alexander Ross; born Kilmuir Easter, Ross-shire, 13 January 1895. Science, 1914. Private, 2/4th Gordon Highlanders, 25 January 1915. Served with 1/4th Gordon Highlanders Home, 1915; France,December 1915-February 1919. Final rank, Corporal. Military Medal, November 1917. Meritorious Service Medal, January 1919.
