Biography: Son of James Rose; born Aberdeen, 31 May 1864. M.A,,1884; Advocate in Aberdeen, 1891. Commissioned, T.F. Reserves, 14 April 1915. Served with No. 1 Supernumerary Company, 4th Gordon Highlanders, Royal Defence Corps. Home service, 1915-19. Final rank, Captain. Name brought to notice of Secretary of State for War, February 1917.
