Biography: Son of Alexander M. Rose; born Evie, 14 August 1878. M.B., 1899; D.P.H., 1901. Commissioned, R.A.M.C., 1905. Mobilized, August 1914. Served-France, August - October 1914; Prisoner of War in Germany, October 1914-June 1915; France, September 1915-March 1917; Germany, March -September 1919. Final rank, Acting Lieutenant-Colonel. Distinguished Service Order, January 1917. Two mentions in despatches, June 1916, January 1917.
