Biography: Son of William W. Riddell; born Aberdeen, 19 May 1889. M.A. (II Eng.), 1913. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1910. Joined Royal Army Medical Corps, November 1914. Commissioned, Royal Field Artillery, September 1917.Served-Home, 1914-17; France, October 1917-February 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
