Biography: Son of David Renton; born Gamrie, Banffshire, 7 November 1864. M.A., 1896. Private, 68th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force, 15 September 1915; 28th Canadian Expeditionary Force, 6th Brigade. Served - Canada, Belgium, France, 1915-18.
