Biography: Son of William Rennie; born Tarves, 13 January 1897. Arts, 1915-16, 1919-. Enlisted, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, April 1916; attended Wireless School. Served in H.M. Whaler ""Balaena,"" H.M. Trawler ""Anthony Aslett,"" H.M. Trawler ""Bempton,"" Home waters, 1916-19. Final rank, Telegraphist, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve Mentioned in dispatches, June 1918.
