Biography: Son of Alexander Reid; born Buckie, 10 May 1889. M.A., 1912. Private, 4th (Reserve) Gordon Highlanders, January 1916; School of Musketry. Commissioned, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 31 October 1917. Served- Home, 1916-18; France, April 1918-January 1919. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
