Biography: Son of Francis Reid; born Keiss, 1 December 1888. M.A., 1909. Private, 5th Seaforth Highlanders (Territorial Force), 8 September 1914; commissioned, 1 January 1916. Transferred. Machine Gun Corps Tank Corps. Served-Home, 1914-15, 1917-19; France, May 1915-February 1917. Final rank, Acting Captain.
