Reid, Eric
Biography: Son of Donald Reid; born Ceylon, 1886. M.A., 1907. Joined Indian Army (Recruiting Officer), December 1914; attached 26th Punjabis. Served-North West Frontier, India, 1915 ; German East Africa, 1916-18. Censor in India, 1915; Liaison Officer to Belgian Forces, 1917 ; Political Officer, 1918; German East Africa. Final rank, Acting Lieutenant-Colonel. M.B.E. (Military). Three mentions in despatches (1 British, 2 Belgian).
