Biography: Son of David Reid; born Portgordon, 24 September 1887. M.B., 1910; F.RC.S. (Ed.), 1914. Lieutenant Transvaal Medical Corps, 1912.-14. Lieutenant, Royal Army Medical Corps, 8 August 1914; attached 4th Stationary Hospital, 7th Field Ambulance, 1st Battalion Honourable Artillery Company, S.A. Field Ambulance, 9th (Scottish) Division, S.A. Military Hospital, Richmond. Served-France, August 1914-August 1916 ; England, August 1916-July 1919. Final rank, Captain. Military Cross, Mentioned in dispatches, June 1916.
