Biography: Son of Robert Reid; born Old Meldrum, 29 December 1898. M.B., 1921. A.U.O.T.C. Surgeon-Probationer, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, 4 August 1917. Served in H.M.S. ""Mischief,"" Scapa Flow, August 1917-April 1918. Final rank, Surgeon-Probationer.
