Biography: Son of D. J. Rees; born Ystradygodwg, Glamorganshire, 24 July 1889. M.A., 1911. Private, 73rd Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps, 11 January 1915 ; 67th Field Ambulance. Commissioned., Royal Field Artillery (x/38 T.M.B.), October 1917. Served-Home, 1915; France, September-November 1915, February 1918-January 1919; Macedonia, December 1915-October 1916. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant. Mentioned in dispatches, July 1917.
