Biography: Son of Robert Rannie; born Peterculter, Aberdeenshire, 9 October 1899. Medicine, 1916-18, 1919-. A.U.O.T.C. Surgeon-Sub.-Lieutenant, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, August 1918. Active service, August 1918-March 1919. Final rank, Surgeon-Sub-Lieutenant.
