Biography: Son of John Rae; born Aberdeen, 5 July 1883. Law, 1904-06. War work-Staff of Inspecting Engineer, Whitley Camp, 1914-16. Gunner, Royal Garrison Artillery, 15 March 1916. Served-Home, 1916-17; France, Belgium, January 1917-1919. Final rank, Acting Corporal.
