Biography: Son of Charles Niven; born Fyvie, 26 April 1879. M.A. (I Ment.), 1900; Town Medal; Croom Robertson Fellow. Commissioned, Royal Artillery Chaplains' Department, January 1917; attached to 98th Infantry Brigade. Served-France, Flanders, January 1917-January 1918. Final rank, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.
