Biography: Son of James Troup ; born Banbury, 13 December 1874. Arts, 1891-94. Commissioned, Indian Volunteers, 1906. Mobilized, 1914. Attached to United Provinces Horse, Simla Rifles (Indian Defence Force). Served-India. Final rank, Major. War work-Controller of Timber Supplies (for War purposes), India, 1917-18. C.I.E.
