Biography: Son of William Troup ; born Rhynie, 24 March 1872. M.B., 1894; M.D. (com.), 1902; D.P.H. (Camb.), 1900. Surgeon-Lieutenant, 1st Essex Volunteer Artillery, 1896. Mobilized Major, R.A.M.C. (T.), August 1914; attached to 2nd, 3rd, 1/3rd, East Anglian Field Ambulances. Served-Home, 1914-15, 1919; Gallipoli, Egypt, Palestine, July 1915-January 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. T.D. Mentioned in despatches, June 1917.
