Biography: Son of Samuel Trethowan ; born Spring Hill, Victoria, 9 December 1860. M.B. (High. Hons.), 1892. Major, Australian Army Medical Corps, May 1915 ; serving 3rd Australian General Hospital, attached to R.A.M.C. Served-Gallipoli, 5 months; Egypt, 7 months. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel.
