Biography: Son of Alexander R. M. Ogilvie; born Brechin, 4 September 1897. M.A., 1919. Gunner, Royal Field Artillery, June 1916; commissioned, Royal Garrison Artillery, 22 July 1918. Home service, 1916-19. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
