Biography: Son of William P. Ogilvie; born Rosehearty, Banffshire, 8 September 1892. M.A., 1913; Gladstone Memorial Prize, 1912. Private, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, 2 February 1915. Served with 1st Gordon Highlanders. Home, 1915; Belgium, France, Italy, July 1915-May 1919. Final rank, Sergeant.
