Biography: Son of William Joss; born Aberdeen, 20 July 1896. Medicine, 1918-. Enlisted, T.F., 1913. Mobilized as Sergeant, R.A.M.C., 1st Highland Field Ambulance (Transport), 5 August 1914; Lieutenant, 3rd, attached to 1st, Northumberland Fusiliers, 26 April 1917. Served-Gallipoli, April 1915-January 1916 (invalided); France, June 1917-April 1918 (severely wounded). Final rank, Lieutenant. M.C., 18 October 1917. Bar to M.C., 26 July 1918.
