Biography: Son of George Jamieson; born Fetteresso, Kincardineshire, 10 March 1879. M.A., 1901 ; B.Sc., 1907. Gunner, 3/1st Highland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Aberdeen), 22 October 1915 ; commissioned, 178th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, 12 August 1916. Served-Home, October 1915-August 1916; France, October 1916-December 1918. (Agricultural Officer, vi Corps, May-June 1917). Final rank, Lieutenant. Merite Agricole, 1917.
