Biography: Born Urquhart and Glenmoriston, 22 August 1889. Science, 1914-15. Enlisted, R.N.A.S., 15 March 1915 ; transferred to Royal Air Force; Home service, March 1915-March 1919. Final rank, Leading Mechanic.
