Biography: Son of Macpherson Gerrard; born Aberdeen, 13 May 1884. M.B., 1909; D.P.H., 1911. Surgeon.-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R., 1912. Mobilized, August 1914. Served-Russia, 1914-15; Scapa Flow, 1915-19. Final rank, Surgeon R.N. Order of St Anne (Russia), 1915. Mentioned in despatches, August 1919.
