Biography: Son of Alexander Gammie; born Aberdeen, 16 February 1896. M.B. (Hons.), 1919. A.U.O.T.C. Private, Scottish Horse Field Ambulance, September 1914. Commissioned, 6th Gordon Highlanders, 15 July 1915. Served-Home, 1914-15; France, October 1915-July 1916. Wounded; discharged, April 1917. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
