Master In Business Administration (MBA) – September and January Intakes

Our Masters in Business Administration is a one year full time programme designed to help you develop the practical and theoretical knowledge necessary to advance your career in business.

The MBA programme will provide you with an opportunity to explore and develop your understanding of the key skills required to succeed in today’s challenging business world. These include:

  • The specialist subject knowledge of the core areas of business, for example marketing, operations, finance and human resource management.
  • The interpersonal skills required to lead, manage and motivate successful networks, teams and organisations.
  • The opportunity to explore new perspectives, ideas and challenges for business.

The MBA will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding through a mixture of workshops, tutorials, lectures and business simulations. The MBA Faculty will use a range of different methods to engage you in the programme including case study analysis, project work and group discussions.

The credits shown are Aberdeen credits (30 Aberdeen credits = 15 ECTS). Courses tagged C are compulsory. The Programme Director is Dr Ian Heywood.

Elective Courses

In addition, to these eight core courses you will need to complete four elective courses. You will be able to choose your elective courses from a range of business topics. Previously these have included advanced courses on the business themes of finance, human resource management and marketing.
