As time at the meeting will be short, we are sending this information to you now so that you have time to consider the topics that will be raised at the AGM. Please note that the Annual Report contains important information relating to recent instances of offers of “voluntary” severance and the use of “protected conversations”. If this is something that has affected you or any of your colleagues please let us know. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO VOTE ON A NUMBER OF ISSUES SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU COME TO THE AGM IN ORDER TO MAKE YOUR VOICE AND VOTE COUNT. WE REGRET THAT WE CANNOT ACCEPT PROXY VOTES.

LOCAL ACCOUNTS 2015-2016: ACTION! You will be asked to formally approve these at the AGM. Accounts attached
LOCAL SUBSCRIPTIONS 2017-2018: ACTION! You will be asked to formally approve changes to local subs. Treasurer’s report attached
ANNUAL PAY AWARD: ACTION! UCU HQ have asked us to consult members about the employers’ final pay offer. Comments can be forwarded to the branch office on firstname.lastname@example.org and there will be further discussion at the AGM
BRANCH COMMITTEE: A list of nominations received is attached. For posts where there is only 1 candidate, that person is automatically elected. Members will be asked to note and approve the nominees at the AGM. Nominations can be accepted from the floor for vacant posts
UCU REP TO UNIVERSITY COURT: ACTION! The 4 nominees will address members at the AGM. An electronic ballot will be opened immediately after the AGM for two weeks. Preferential voting will be used. Candidates’ election statements are attached
