iDEA
Develop digital and employability skills by collecting digital badges
iDEA is a programme that helps you develop digital, enterprise and employability skills for free.
Through a series of online challenges and events, you can win career and life enhancing badges, unlock new opportunities and, ultimately, gain industry recognised awards that help you stand out from the crowd. iDEA is about lifelong learning, for anyone who wants to develop their skills. Learners include apprentices, business leaders, pensioners, students and community groups.
The challenges are split into core categories, each with its own series of badges to be won - citizen, worker, maker, entrepreneur and gamer. As well as being fun, these badges will help you show off what you've learned and could, when the time comes, help you land the job you want.
The University’s Information Security Awareness course for students covers five badges on iDEA – to complete the course please see the Information Security: Training resource.
