UArctic becomes UNESCO partner organisation

UArctic officially partnered with UNESCO
UNESCO and UArctic officially partnered September 2017

UArctic President Lars Kullerud said that "partnership with UNESCO provides real opportunities to build bridges between UArctic members and activities and other regions of the world that face similar challenges."

The University of the Arctic (UArctic) has entered into an official partnership with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) as a non-governmental organization.

The UArctic EALAT Institute of Circumpolar Reindeer Husbandry and the Thematic Network on Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity in Education already have concrete activities with direct links to UNESCO. Under this agreement, the UArctic aims to expand this cooperation into other areas, including student mobility, and research analytics. Read more [press release]
