The University of Aberdeen is committed to Articulation, which is the move from an HNC or HND at College to Year 2 or 3 of a University degree. We realise this year, more than ever before, is a far more daunting prospect for many reasons and want to support our articulating students as much as we can.
The University may have contacted you recently about transition arrangements for you commencing your studies in September. We are very aware that much of this is being done in the online environment which may be difficult if you don't have a computer or are sharing with members of your family. Therefore we are joining with Santander Universities to offer £500 bursaries to allow you to purchase IT equipment to support your studies.
- Eligibility criteria and other information
The Santander Universities IT Bursary fund is limited, with just over 30 bursaries being available. Bursaries will be allocated on the basis of financial need, with priority given to widening access offer holders.
To be eligible for a Santander Universities IT Bursary, individuals must:
- Be an undergraduate, part time or full time offer holder
- Have firmly accepted an offer of admission to the University of Aberdeen for the 2020/21 academic year
- Be classed as Home (Scottish Domiciled)
- Have graduated from a Scottish Further Education College
- Be entering your degree at Year 2 or 3
There is recognition that these are unusual times so unlike other University funds, receiving a Santander Universities IT Bursary would not preclude you from being considered for other University scholarships or bursaries.
Please note, The Santander Universities IT Bursary will be paid 3 weeks after you have completed e-registration.
If you have any questions regarding the Santander Universities IT Bursary fund please contact the Access and Articulation team at email@example.com
Please tell us if you meet one or more of the widening access criteria listed under the question 'The following widening access criteria applies to me'. If you meet one or more of these criteria it may strengthen your application to the fund.
