General

The University of Malta (UM) has a rich history spanning over 400 years, all the way back to 1592 with the founding of the Collegium Melitense. There are some 11,500 students, including around 1,000 international students from 92 different countries and 450 visiting overseas students, following full-time or part-time degree and diploma courses. In 2015 the university appointed a designated quality assurance committee to review and enhance the quality culture at UM, with an open invitation extended to students, staff and other stakeholders to get in touch if they have any queries.

Malta is a beautiful destination, known primarily for their warm weather and amazing landscapes, and some of the oldest temples in the world. UM has an impressive sports facility including an olympic size swimming pool, football pitches and a fitness centre. There is also a health and wellness centre on campus which prioritises enhancing the wellness of students and staff of the university. Here students can access counselling services or find a quiet place to unwind.
