We know that the social aspect of University is an important part of the overall experience. There is still a lot of unique and exciting activity happening throughout our beautiful city and there will be many alternatives to on campus activity as we welcome you in September. Find out more about what’s on throughout the city and check back to see what activity we have planned on and off campus in the lead up to welcoming you in September and beyond.
- What’s on in the City
Although many of our usual fantastic city-wide events have had to be rescheduled this year, there are still lots of opportunities to explore the city from the comfort of your own home. Go on virtual tours of castles, browse art collections, stream live entertainment, cook a local dish and read exciting guest blogs.

Aberdeen is home to some fantastic venues, regularly welcoming the biggest names in music, West End shows and comedy acts. Our newly refurbished Art Gallery is one of many venues displaying iconic and home-grown art throughout the region.
Although these venues are unable to open at the moment, there are many alternative ways to enjoy the wide range of arts and culture Aberdeen has to offer. From tours of the art galleries to the gruesome history of Peterhead Prison Museum, there is something for everyone.

Food and drink
As lockdown begins to ease some of our fantastic bars and restaurants are beginning to open up. Many also offer innovative delivery and take away services for all to enjoy.
