The Outdoors

Aberdeen sits on the stunning east costs of Scotland, with miles of beautiful coastline and golden sands to enjoy. We are also home to some of the most spectacular countryside.

You can choose to take a hike up Bennachie or one of our munros (a mountain over 3,000 feet high). If you want a challenge, you can go 'Munro Bagging', which would see you climb all munros in Scotland.

There are a range of watersports you can enjoy including surfing, diving and sailing or go fishing in the River Dee, River Don or our lochs.

If Winter sports are more your thing, take a trip to the Cairngorms National Park, The Lecht or Glenshee to do some snowboarding or skiing. You can even do this in the middle of summer at the dry ski slopes in the city of Aberdeen.
