With a student population of over 50,000, Aberdeen has plenty to offer in the way of entertainment. The city is a hidden gem of culture and entertainment, right in the heart of North East Scotland.

Attend a show at the stunning His Majesty’s Theatre or the Lemon Tree. There is a panto every December. 

A number of world renowned bands play at P&J Live (the new exhibition centre) and the Music Hall. Bands that have played in Aberdeen include The Killers, Little Mix, Manic Street Preachers, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Iron Maiden. Top of the range comedians also come to the Granite City. There is no doubt that the number of top shows in Aberdeen will continue to grow!

Aberdeen is home to four cinemas including the unique and traditional Belmont Cinema and a 4DX in Union Square. There is also a Cineworld at the Beach and Vue at Shiprow. 

Nightlife

Aberdeen has a vibrant nightlife and the city has been awarded five consecutive Purple Flags for safety in the city centre. There is something to suit everyone.

Live music acts perform at venues across the city. This includes new and local acts on the scene as well as tribute acts to those artists that you love.

There are a number of great bars and pubs to choose from and most of them also offer hearty meals.

If nightclubbing is your thing, then you will find something that suits your taste. There are clubs that throwback to the 80s, 90’s and 00s, one that covers indie music and those that cover the charts.

In the city centre there is a retro bowling venue where you can enjoy a game of table tennis, pool or a game on the arcades.
