Using research in ‘real’ life
30th October 07:30-09:30, Medico-Chirurgical Hall, Polwarth Building, University of Aberdeen at Foresterhill
Researchers are passionate about the work they do to answer important questions – but what impact does health research have in the real world?
In this workshop, we’ll showcase examples of where University of Aberdeen research has made a difference to people, policy and practice.
From meat consumption to alcohol pricing, the smoking ban to the perils of high heels – discover how our research might have already impacted your lifestyle.
Find out how research teams approach getting their findings out to the people and communities who can benefit most. Explore the pros, cons and challenges of how research is translated and implemented.
There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be provided. Attendees will receive a certificate for one hour of continuing professional development (CPD).
