There will be some shuttle buses leaving King's Campus from 11:40am and bus times can be found in the guide for the day. Please note these buses are first come first served. Medicine and Gateway to Medicine students are very welcome to begin their day at King's Campus in the morning and attend the general talks and tours taking place.

Information and Assistance

Our Student Ambassadors will be available around campus in red high-vis jackets in case you have any questions (or get lost!). Alternatively, make your way to our Information Point on Elphinstone Lawn at the heart of the campus.

Most events will take place around King's College and Elphinstone Hall. Medicine subject sessions will take place at our Foresterhill campus.

Food

You can purchase food and drink throughout the day from various places across campus. There will be a "Grab n Go" cafe selling popular breakfast options on Elphinstone Law from 08:30 - 10:00 am. The Student Union Building has a coffee shop and serves hot and cold food throughout the day as well as a food court on the second floor with a large range of different outlets. Other places to eat include the Hardback Cafe (Sir Duncan Rice Library), Cafe Kovo (Aberdeen Sports Village and Aquatics Centre), Starbucks, Shelter Cafe, Kilau, and Food Story (zero-waste cafe). Many of these offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. We will also be offering our very popular BBQ Shack on Elphinstone Lawn from 11:30am-2:00pm. The University operates a cashless campus where payments can be made using debit/credit cards or with Google Pay/Apple pay.

Safety and First Aid

For your own personal safety, please ensure that you obey all safety and warning signs whilst on campus. If there is an emergency, please alert a Student Ambassador or the nearest member of University staff. If a fire alarm sounds, you must evacuate the building via the nearest emergency exit and remain outside until you are told otherwise. Please do not use any lifts under these circumstances.

First Aiders will be available on the day if required. If you need First Aid assistance, please make your way to the foyer of Elphinstone Hall and a member of staff will assist you.

Disability Awareness

If you would like to discuss issues relating to studying at the University of Aberdeen and disability, please visit the Student Support information stand in the Students' Union Building. You can also advise us of any individual needs you might have on the Offer Holder Day booking form or by emailing the UK Team.

If you wish to arrange an individual appointment with the Disability Advisor, please email Student Support Services. Please note that without a pre-arranged appointment there is no guarantee that you will be seen on the day.

Campus Access guides are available for each building on our Old Aberdeen Campus. If you have any questions on the day then please don't hesitate to ask any of our staff or student ambassadors.

Quiet Zone

Anyone looking for a quiet space to catch your breath or rest for a while can grab a seat in the Far Linklater Room, just next door to Elphinstone Hall. It will be open throughout the day. Please ask a Student Ambassador or staff member for directions.
