Robert Nicol Trust Fellowships & Scholarship UG

The Robert Nicol Trust is an educational charity which makes small financial awards to support students from or based in the Aberdeen region who are undertaking courses of one kind or another at the post-school level.


University Scholarships for Bereaved Service Children

The aim of this scheme is to give the children of those who have died in the service of their country a head start in life by enabling them to obtain a university degree or further education training.


Postgraduate Taught

Aberdeen Alumni Discount

20% discount on the full cost of a taught postgraduate programme and one year of a full time research programme (two years for part time). Applies to to all taught postgraduate programmes or first year of a full time research programme.


Career Development Loan

Career Development Loans are available through a partnership scheme between the (DfES) and three banks – Barclays, the Co-operative and the Royal Bank of Scotland.


Commonwealth Scholarships

Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded to students from countries of the British Commonwealth. Applications should be made to the Commonwealth Scholarship Agency in the student's own country.


Daiwa Scholarships

Daiwa Scholarships 2007 is a unique 19-month programme of language study, work placement and homestay in Japan.


James Carnegie Scholarship

There is one James Carnegie Scholarship available. The scholarship will provide £2,000 per annum towards the students' maintenance costs for the duration of the postgraduate degree course, whether that is a one year Masters, PhD (3 years) or Master by Research leading to a PhD (4 years).

John Reid Trust Scheme 1959

The Trust exists to assist distinguished Aberdeen University graduates, preferably with Honours, and preferably in Arts, which failing, in Science, to continue their studies in Arts or in any other branches of higher learning at any institution outside Scotland.

MacLeod Scholarship

There is one MacLeod Scholarship available. The scholarship will cover full-time UK/EU Tuition Fees for a maximum of three years. Depending on the nature of the postgraduate degree, the scholarship may be awarded either for one year or for a maximum of three years.

Postgrad Solutions Bursaries

If you are starting a postgraduate course in the academic year 2017-18 you are eligible to apply for a Postgrad Solutions Study Bursary. Each bursary is worth £500 and they are open to students from anywhere in the world.
